Heather Dukes-Murray is a licensed psychologist in Ohio. She currently conducts autism evaluations at Meghan Barlow and Associates in Rocky River, OH. Heather has extensive diagnostic and therapeutic experience with children, adolescents, and their families. She operates primarily from a cognitive-behavioral and behavioral perspectives. With that in mind, Heather works hard to honor each client’s identity and considers their perspectives in making the assessment process or treatment collaborative.

Heather earned her doctorate in Counseling Psychology from the University of Georgia and completed an APA-accredited internship at Child & Adolescent Behavioral Health in North Canton, Ohio. She completed postdoctoral training in an NIH-funded childhood depression research program at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. She also completed postdoctoral training in autism assessment at a private practice in Cleveland, Ohio. In addition to current private practice, Heather has presented nationally and locally about autism.

Heather hosts a podcast called "Straightforward Psychology" geared towards professionals who work with children and adolescents. In each episode, Heather provides straightforward information about mental health topics and breaks down all things related to child psychology, autism, ADHD, parenting techniques, interventions and more. The podcast goes beyond the basics we learned in graduate school and aims to provide straightforward information you can easily access and apply in your professional roles.
